THE HAWTHORNE Branding / Identity / Corporate Communications
I designed the logo and corporate communications for this upscale Boston lounge, which was based,
in part, on a classic tool that bartenders use for straining drinks.
"SOUP OF THE CENTURY" Promotional Campaign
Soup cans with customized labels were sent out to radio and press to help publicize this 3 Mustaphas 3 release. No detail was too small, right down to the "I (heart) 3M3" in the barcode. It was a very well received campaign.
WHAT'S THAT SMELL? Real BBQ
Nothing brings a smile to your face like REAL BBQ...unless it's a very surprised-looking cartoon pig on fire!
This West Coast competitive BBQ Team contacted me to design a logo that expressed both their very serious commitment to barbequing and smoking excellence with a little bit of humor and irreverence.
RYKODISC Advertising Campaign
I provided concept and design for this compact disc company's ad campaign. This particular project
also marked one of my first forays into copywriting. The "green" jewel-box featured in the ad became
the company's registered trademark.
RYKODISC Promotional Pieces
Hot Sauce, Chocolate CDs and a Mother's Day greeting from Frank Zappa?
Rykodisc was an incredibly creative place and these promo products only begin to tell the story of some of the offbeat things we did back in “the good old days” of record labels.
HEARTBEAT RECORDS Branding / Identity
I focused on utilizing a handmade aesthetic to re-brand this reggae specialty label, including
printing on the "wrong" side of the paper stock for a rougher look and feel. This technique not
only enhanced the overall presentation, but also kept the projects within budget constraints.
THE RAVIOLI STORE Branding / Corporate Identity / Consumer Packaging
To re-brand this high-end, Manhattan-based pasta company, I redesigned their logo, introduced a warmer color palette and used recycled paper stocks to reinforce the "artisanal" qualities of their handmade pastas.
